Study of 'Wait' (Isa 40:31)
The number 13 is often presented as an unlucky one. However, there is a way we can grow in our strength. This principle is found in the Old Testament passage of Isaiah 40:31. Please, follow the lesson below for a new look at life, in spite of the 13th page...... THE PLACE OF GOD IN OUR LIVES I. GOD DESIRES FOR US TO ______UPON HIM (Isa 40:31) 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. KJV II. THE WORD ‘WAIT’ MEANS ______________. qavah (kaw-vaw'); a primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), i.e. collect; (figuratively) to expect: (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.) This word doesn’t mean to ‘stand idly’ and ‘wait’. Rather, it is a word of cooperation for strength! III. WAITING ON GOD MEANS TO ‘BIND TOGETHER WITH EXPECTATION’. WITH WHOM DO WE BIND ?________ ISA. 40: 31........ But they that wait upon the LORD IV. ESPECIALLY IN TIMES OF ILLNESS, SERVE GOD BY WAITING UPON HIM. YOU WILL FIND STRENGTH RENEWED AND PROVIDE TO MANY OTHERS A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF GODLINESS. IN FACT, YOUR EXAMPLE MAY BE THE ONLY ONE WHICH THESE BUSY HEALTHCARE GIVERS AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS SEE !======WAIT.======
